LOW VOLTAGE CABLING TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pull, splice, jack and terminate low voltage cabling, including Cat 5e, 6, 10Gig, RG6, G59, RG11 Coaxial, Single and Multi-mode fiber
  • Perform job functions in new construction, Hospitals, Schools, Residential, and Commercial buildings
  • Be able to read blueprints and specifications and know color codes
  • Communicate effectively with service coordinators and clients to ensure excellent customer service
  • Possess strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Be self-motivated and work independently as well as function as a member of the cabling team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic Construction Background
  • Comfortable with using ladders – not afraid of heights
  • Basic use of various tools
  • Overall “awareness” in a construction environment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High School Graduate
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Basic Keyboarding Skills
  • Willingness to travel
